January CCUA Update From Paul Rybarczyk

CCUA shirt order form
I hope everyone has had a great start to the New Year. Our annual CCUA Baseball Clinic is 2 weeks away and I want to relay some information about the day activities below. The Clinic will be held at Brother Rice High School located at 99th and Pulaski Avenue on February 11, 2024. Registration will start at 8:30am in the Brother Rice Gym Foyer area, with the Clinic starting promptly at 9am.
We need to know if you are attending. All attendees will receive a FREE long sleeve CCUA shirt that you can wear under a jacket or IHSA shirt on the field. There is a link to a Google Form at the top of this page. I would like everyone to fill out this form - even if you are not attending. We need to have an accurate number of those attending along with a size preference for the t-shirt and color (either navy blue or black). All shirts will have the CCUA logo. Please fill out the the Google Form by this FRIDAY ...January 26th as we need to order the shirts so they will be available to us for the Clinic...

For those members who have yet to pay their dues for 2024...the last day to pay is the Clinic...I will be removing all umpires who have not paid their dues at that time from Arbiter.
Lastly, I received an email from the CCL about NOT assigning umpires who have not joined the IHSA for 2024 and are in good standing. There have been some CCL schools placed on probation because of utilizing non IHSA officials on their home contests. I always check the IHSA one month prior to the season to make sure umpires are registered, have completed the concussion section, and are in good standing to umpire baseball for the 2024 season. Please get this done. If you have any questions, contact the IHSA of why you are not cleared to umpire IHSA contests. It is just not about paying the registration fee to the IHSA...
There was alot to digest ....Please respond to the Google Form by this Friday so we can order the shirts...
