Welcome to Fall and I hope that everyone had a wonderful summer. With that being said, it is time to either renew your CCUA membership or join our group for the first time. At our last meeting, the CCUA voted to have a slight increase in dues for the 23-24 season.
For members new to our organization, the cost will be an introductory $30 membership fee. For renewal memberships, the cost will be $45 until November 5th. On 11/6, the CCUA membership will increase to $50...still a bargainFor adjunct members who just want to work JUCO baseball, the cost will be $30.
You can go to the CCUA website to pay your dues....www.ccuaumpscom.Mike has done a great job updating the membership page to make it much simpler to join the CCUA!
In all cases above, the CCUA Baseball Clinic on Feb. 11th at Brother Rice High School from 9am to 1pm is included free of charge. Clinic gifts are also part of the membership fee. Also, all other CCUA meetings (including our inaugural Hall of Fame induction meeting with food and beverages) will be free of charge.
This is an excellent deal...If you decide to utilize the early enrollment of $45, this is only a $5.00 increase from the last two seasons.Also, if you referred another umpire for our organization prior to October 1st and they join, your dues will only be $30...Please inform Mike Maslowski and /or Rob Hacker with the umpire you referred to the CCUA.
I have been receiving many calls/texts about assigning...I am currently working on the varsity and lower level schedules and inputting them into Arbiter as I receive them from schools. I have done some preliminary varsity assigning, but to a small extent. If you receive games, please accept them in a prompt time frame...24 to 48 hours....Also, update your Arbiter block page for March, April and May....
With lower level assigning....We plan to open up self-assign on 11/7 to those individuals who have paid their 23-24 dues this year...It is important that you take care of business with membership if you want a first crack at certain games/sites.
Our rates have increased dramatically this year....$100 varsity umps and $90 all lower level one man games. This was one of the reasons for the slight increas in membership rates.
